HCC needs your help at the Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve removing mesquite, moving brush, and fencing new growth trees at the Nalle Bunny Run Preserve this Saturday, October 22nd from 9am- 12pm! Volunteers will have trained crew leaders on site to help remove these species that have begun to overtake portions of the preserve. HCC will provide all of the tools and gloves, but feel free to bring your own gloves and a water bottle if you have them. Help keep the Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve natural and healthy for years to come! Volunteers will receive a special thank you gift for attending, including breakfast! A special thank you to REI for sponsoring this event and supporting restoration work at the Nalle Bunny Run Preserve this fall!
When: Saturday, October 22nd
Time: 9 am- 12 pm
What to Wear: Tennis shoes, long pants, t-shirt, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
What to Bring: Water Bottle
Safety Considerations: Volunteers will be shoveling and moving brush in somewhat dry dirt and grass, so be aware that some leaning and bending over on rocky and uneven terrain will be required. You may encounter wildlife and other animals associated with wooded natural areas.
Special Notice: There are no restroom facilities on the preserve. Please leave your pets, bicycles, and motorized vehicles at home during the workday.
*HCC will provide gloves, but if you have your own heavy duty leather gloves, please bring them with you.
*HCC will provide breakfast, snacks, lemonade, and water.
